Accu-Fast is the only cushion made in the USA and it is the only cushion that will never need to be replaced. Accu Fast cushions may cost a lot more but it is well worth it. Putting anything else on a pool table is like "putting lipstick on a donkey."
We use slow growth northern hardwoods as opposed to faster growing and cheaper southern grown woods. Slower growth trees in hardwood means tighter grain patterns and far less streaking and discoloration. This means a much nicer look and finish on your table. One reason we moved our factory to Tennessee is to put us closer to some of the premier lumber suppliers in the world.
The slate is about the only part of an Olhausen table that is not made in the USA. We don't have much choice about that. But, we double check every piece before it is shipped to make sure it is flat and true so that you don't have any problems. We also put our Lifetime Guarantee on it.
